ABSTRACT
In this talk, I will summarize our Group’s studies exploring the exotic physics of the highly anisotropic, quasi-one-dimensional superconducting metal lithium molybdate (purple bronze). This will cover a number of unusual features including the realization of the Tomonaga-Luttinger liquid state in the bulk and its range of stability, signatures of possible spin-triplet superconductivity and the observation of an unusual field-induced symmetry breaking.
