Prof. Bart van Wees elected Fellow of the American Physical Society "for pioneering research in charge and spin-based quantum transport in mesoscopic systems."

The American Physical Society announced that Bart van Wees was elected fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) during their November 2014 meeting. Bart van Wees is chair of the "Physics of Nanodevices" group at the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials and Work Package Leader in the EU Flagship programme Graphene Spintronics. The research group of van Wees is exploring new physical phenomena that occur in electronic and opto-electronic device structures with nanoscale dimensions.
