Scholierenacademie
The Scholierenacademie develops a continuous learning track for research skills, so that pupils from primary and secondary schools come into contact with science. We also support teachers and look at what academic staff at the university can learn from secondary education teachers and vice versa.
Science Linx
Science LinX is the science center of the Faculty of Science & Engineering (University of Groningen) and coordinates programs to inform and involve pupils, lecturers, non-profit organizations and the general public in research conducted by the faculty.
By offering scientists a platform Science LinX wants to increase interest in science and technology at the University of Groningen. With a modern approach tailored to the target group, the department facilitates a continuous learning path that links science, education, work and citizenship.
University Museum
Since 1934, the University Museum has been a scientific museum in the academic heart of the city of Groningen. Because of its multi-faceted collection, in which nature, culture and science go together, there is plenty to see.
Noorderzon
The 10-day Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival is yearly held in our beautiful Noorderplantsoen park. Young and old will return home from the festivities slightly smarter than they were before, thanks to the 'University of Noorderzon'. The UG, the university of the Northern Netherlands, offers festival-goers the chance to increase their knowledge in an accessible and fun way for a bargain price at the Noorderzon festival.
Zpannend Zernike
Zpannend Zernike organizes activities to get to know science and technology in a fun and surprising way.
