Looking back: Martijn Wieling at Lowlands Science

Martijn Wieling was able to conduct research at a very special place this year: Lowlands! He investigated the influence of alcohol on native and non-native speech using ultrasound tongue imaging. Watch the video below:

Martijn Wieling

Martijn Wieling is universitair docent Informatiekunde aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Hij doet onderzoek naar taalvariatie in de mond. In 2016 won hij de prestigieuze European Young Researchers Award. Hij werd in 2015 benoemd tot lid van De Jonge Akademie, waarvan hij sinds 2018 vice-voorzitter is.
