Prizes and membership of prestigious organizations
Prizes and membership of prestigious organizations
Nominations for prizes and membership of academic societies are a token of recognition and appreciation of your research. In addition, prizes and memberships elevate your position in academic circles and help you to acquire funding.
Nominations
Your research or publication can be nominated for a prize or a grant. Talk to your manager, peers, or advisor, such as a Faculty Funding Officer or a research policy officer, about which prizes, memberships, or grants are best suited to you and your research. The Faculty Deans also play a significant role in nominating suitable candidates. To increase your chances of a nomination, make sure that your profile is up-to-date and inform your Faculty Dean about your ambitions.
