On Friday 16 and Saturday 17 January 2026, the biennial OIKOS Language of Literature conference will take place, colloquially known as “Katwijk’. This year the meeting will take place in Hotel Zonne in Noordwijk.
The program will consist of presentations in the field of Greek or Latin linguistics or narratology. We would like to invite senior researchers, PhD students and students to present their work.
Papers are 25 minutes and will be followed by a prepared response and plenary discussion. The working language is English.
The deadline for title/abstract submissions is 1 June. If you would like to present a paper, please let us know by sending an email to Suzanne Adema (s.m.adema@hum.leidenuniv.nl) with a (tentative) title of the paper and a short abstract. Please encourage students who have written an interesting research paper or BA/MA thesis to present it at our meeting.
