Relevant research areas in Operations Management & Operations Research
The research programme focuses on decision-making relating to production, services and logistic operations within profit as well as non-profit organizations. The decision making deals with modelling, analysis, design/improvement, development and planning & control at several levels. The programme covers a broad range of methodologies ranging from developing mathematical tools, via applying and adapting operations research tools into algorithms and instruments, to empirical methods as case study, survey and action research. In that it aims for synergy in combining domain knowledge of Operations Management and the decision support of Operations Research. The setting is multidisciplinary and gives attention to the points of view of quality, timely delivery, costs, and organization. Behavioral, HRM, and ICT aspects are covered by cooperation with neighbouring research groups.
