Admission requirements and procedure

Apply for the research master's programme by sending the documents below to the Graduate School of Law (GGSL): ggsl@rug.nl.

• curriculum vitae;

• an overview of all study results obtained so far, including failed examinations;

• a letter of motivation for doing this programme, based on one's expectations, interests and ambitions;

• written results of previous research, such as papers, theses, scientific articles

• and other documents that, in the opinion of the prospective student, may contribute to a good picture of suitability to follow this programme.

The Admissions and Selection Committee for the Research Master's programme will, based on the above documents, determine eligibility for admission to the programme. All applicants will receive a written assignment asking them to give a brief reasoned opinion on a piece recently published in a newspaper or magazine. This written assignment supports the submitted documents demonstrating aptitude and talent for the programme.
