Summary:
This study captures wide scale of risky, health-related and school-related behaviours in youth subcultures such as hip-hop, punk, skinheads, techno-scene, metal and very specific Roma subculture. Its intention was to assess the association between subculture affilliation and above mentioned behaviours in the context of peers' and parental influences. This chapter briefly describes youth subcultures, provides theoretical background and main aims of this study, and presents theoretical models and research questions.
