
UEG Research Prize for Cisca Wijmenga

Professor Cisca Wijmenga has been awarded the 2018 United European Gastroenterology (UEG) Research Prize for her outstanding work “A celiac mucosal barrier-on-chip model to investigate its role in initiation of celiac disease”.
The UEG award recognizes excellence in basic science, translational or clinical research and provides €100,000 towards on-going or future research that will have a crucial impact on digestive health.
Prof. Wijmenga will receive the award during the Opening Session of UEG Week in Vienna on Monday, October 22, 2018.
