What are secondary data?
Question
What are secondary data and when am I required to archive them?
Answer
Secondary data include all processed data files used in the preparation of the document:
- spreadsheets, databases, graphics,
- output from statistical packages,
- output of geographic information systems,
- program code in C/C++, NetLogo, Matlab, Maple, Mathematica etc. of all programs developed to produce the published results & all associated parameter files,
- R-scripts (statistical analysis, graphs, etc.), Python or other batch scripts used for data processing,
- specific program code/scripts, e.g. Z-Tree or other software packages used to produce or process primary data.
The secondary data listed above must always be deposited in the repository when collected in a GELIFES research project, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
