Supervisor: Prof. dr. Reynier Peletier (Kapteyn)

Reynier Peletier is currently a Professor at the Kapteyn Institute at the University of Groningen, and was past scientific director. His research interest is the formation and evolution of galaxies, both dwarf ones in the nearby Universe, as well as, larger galaxies. He coordinates an EU ITN project SUNDIAL and leads a consortium of researchers in computer science and astronomy on developing new algorithms for analyzing large surveys in astronomy, and study galaxy formation and evolution with it.
