Supervisor: Dr. Konstantinos Efstathiou (JBI)

Konstantinos Efstathiou is Assistant Professor at the Johann Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science. His research interests lie in the area of dynamical systems focusing on two main themes: the topology of integrable Hamiltonian systems, and dynamics on networks. In the study of integrable Hamiltonian systems he uses methods from algebraic topology and differential geometry to understand how singularities affect the global topological properties of integrable fibrations. In the study of dynamics on networks he is interested on how systems coupled in a network synchronize, what types of dynamics typically occur, and what is the role of the network topology for the dynamics.
