Supervisor: Prof. dr. Alexandru Telea (JBI)

Prof. dr. Alexandru Telea received his PhD (2000) in Computer Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, where he worked as assistant professor in visualization until 2007. Since then, he is professor of multiscale visual analytics at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He works on 3D multiscale shape processing, information visualization (with a focus on multiscale image-based techniques and graph bundling), evolution visualization, and interactive visual analytics. He has co-authored over 200 visualization papers, and is author of the well-known textbook Data Visualization -- Principles and Practice (2008, 2014).
