Title | Geothermal Modeling.
Summary | In this research the pressure interference and lifetime of two geothermal doublets in the Slochteren Sandstones is studied with the use of the finite element method in TOUGH2. This study includes a model of a horizontal-, dipping and a fractured reservoir where the pressure interference is simulated for varying reservoir permeability, porosity and mutual distance of the doublets. The lifetime of the doublets is simulated for a varying reservoir permeability and porosity where the results for the different reservoir models are compared.

Title | Achieving energy self-sufficiency and circularity in the Dutchagricultural sector, using anaerobic digestion. Focus on Dutch dairy farms.
Summary | The agricultural sector is responsible for 7%of the Dutch energy consumption and 12% of the total GHG emissions. Research Has shown that even low-grade energy sources like manure, might play a role in the transition to a more circular system. Therefore, this study focuses on increasing the level of sustainability and circularity of an average Dutchdairy farm by implementing an anaerobic digestion system which is fed by locally available manure.The level of sustainability is expressed using three indicators: carbon footprint, environmental impact and costs.Different scenarios are made in order to determine which scenarios shows the highest increase in sustainability.
