Modular Electrolyzer Demonstrator Unveiled at Groningen Airport Eelde
Together with all industrial and academic partners of
WAviatER
project financed by SNN, the team led by DEMCON has revealed a modular electrolyzer demonstrator at Groningen Airport Eelde. It is designed and made in the north of Netherlands within one and half year. The academic team of Faculty of Science and Engineering - University of Groningen is led by ENTEG PI Vasilis Kyriakou and comprises of Paolo Pescarmona, P.V. Aravind and Bayu Jaywardhana. They developed activated stainless steel electrodes for an efficient and stable membrane electrolysis.
With the unraveling of the electrolyzer demonstrator at Groningen Airport Eelde, we are looking forward to contributing to the development of hydrogen ecosystem in the north of Netherlands.
WAviatER
WAviatER stands for WAterstof production technology for the Aviation sector and Energy applications at the Regional level, and is subsidised by the North Netherlands Cooperation Agency from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). In this project, green hydrogen technology is being developed within the consortium involved.
