Hydrohub tests sustainable hydrogen technology for industry
Yesterday we formally introduced the Hydrohub, the innovation centre where industrial partners, knowledge institutes and government are cooperating to develop and test electrolysis technologies enabling the large scale production of durable hydrogen and thus drastically reducing CO2-emissions of the process industry. The Hydrohub is an initiative of the ISPT. The consortium consists of Shell, Nouryon, Gasunie, Yara, Frames, Groningen Seaports, ECN, Hanze Hogeschool, and the University of Groningen. Within the consortium researchers at the University of Groningen (ENTEG) will conduct research aimed at the development of new electrode materials for more efficient water electrolysis.
