We are delighted to announce that Dr. Dulce Morales, tenure track assistant professor inthe product technology group of ENTEG, has been honoured with the "ISE Elsevier Prize for Applied Electrochemistry" by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE). The ISE Elsevier Prize for Applied Electrochemistry is an esteemed award within the electrochemistry scientific community, recognizing a younger researcher who has made outstanding advancements in the field of applied electrochemistry. Dr. Morales is awarded for contributions in the fields of electrochemical conversion of oxygen to the electro-oxidation of alcohols, the impact of binders on electrode properties and oxygen conversion electrocatalysts. The award comes with a prize of 2,000 euros, and the opportunity to deliver an award talk at the ISE 75th Annual Meeting, scheduled to take place in Montreal, Canada next year.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Morales on this well-deserved recognition. It is a testament to her exceptional skills and significant contributions to the field of applied electrochemistry. We are proud to have Dr. Morales as a part of our institute and eagerly anticipate her award talk at the ISE 75th Annual Meeting.

Dulce Morales
The research of Dr. Dulce M. Morales focuses on the electrochemical conversion of renewable resources, such as water, biomass or CO2, into value-added chemicals and fuels. In particular, the design and evaluation of low cost, high-performance electrocatalytic materials is explored with the aim of gaining in-depth understanding on how the composition of the electrode/electrolyte interface and the operating conditions impact the electrocatalyst performance. To enhance the applicability of these electrocatalytic systems, a strong emphasis is placed on the evaluation of electrocatalysts under industry-relevant conditions.
