Unifocus video: Pilot plant for green economy
Potatoes and sugar beets can be processed into food products. But they can also be used to produce green intermediate goods for the worlds of industry and business. A pilot plant for producing such intermediate goods is being constructed on Zernike Campus. This ‘Zernike Advanced Processing (ZAP) facility’ will be used to test and market new products and thus make an important contribution to the further development of the biobased economy in the Northern Netherlands.
Each episode of the weekly online video magazine Unifocus includes an item related to the University of Groningen, in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
