CEASG / GSG Welcomes visiting researcher Mr Muhadi Sugiono
CEASG and GSG welcome Mr Muhadi Sugiono as visiting researcher and external PhD candidate at the University of Groningen.

Mr Sugiono is affiliated to the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. He is currently writing a PhD on humanitarianism in EU foreign policy, focusing on case studies of EU policy in Somalia, Ukraine and Myanmar. He is an expert on security issues and actively involved in the international campaigns to abolish nuclear weapons. He has an interest in comparative regionalism especially comparing Europe and Asia. He is currently analyzing the Belt and Road Initiative in relation to China’s power and leadership in contemporary International Relations.
