Follow up China College Tour

Following the China College Tour hosted by GSG/CEASG in collaboration with Krijger and Partners on 25 February, the organizers facilitate a follow up for Dutch speaking students at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 10 April.

The China College Tour titled The Rising Power with the support of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs was hosted in Groningen for around 100 participants. The tour has visited four universities throughout the Netherlands.

This session was centered around the theme ‘The Two Faces of China: techno-economic genius or command and control system?’ with a particular focus on economic innovation and political culture. Speakers included René Cuperus (Volkskrant, Clingendael Institute) and Kathleen Ferrier (China Expert, Former M.P.) and various faculty from the University of Groningen.

The College Tour was opened by university president prof. Jouke de Vries.
