Controller design for robots in ship inspection
Description
This project will be carried out in the context of the Interreg Smartbot project that aims to use anonomous robots equipped with sensors to carry out complex tasks. In particular, the project is mainly concerned with the Roboship subproject that develops autonomous intelligent robots for the inspection and repair of ballast water tanks of ships and the Sinbot subproject that uses smart industrial robots in complex production environment. The focus of the PhD project is to devolop controllers that will enable the robots to localize, track, manoeuvre and coordinate efficiently even in the face of an unknown environment with unexpected events.
