Panel Sponsored by the Centre for Gender Studies

How does a line-up for a festival appear if we take out all the bands with only male members? How many female headliners do music festivals have annually? How many of them are the same artist? How do booking practices, the Keychange initiative or budget discussions affect who makes it on a line-up?

All these and more questions will be discussed at our panel talk for Gender and Diversity in Music Festivals. The panel talk will take place on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 from 17:00-19:00 CET.

About our speakers:

Eva van Netten programs, organizes, coordinates and produces for: Welcome to the Village, Explore the North, Explore production house and Pink Saturday (2020). All this with a queer and activist heart, to realize programs and projects that broaden perspectives, make new frameworks (or preferably no frameworks at all) the norm and make the world a little fairer. In the evenings she trades the office space and the festival grounds for the music studio and the boxing gym. This leads to sore muscles, tours of Europe with BlackboxRed and compositions for theater.
