Varieties of re-enchantment: nature and spirituality in contemporary societies

Presented by Professor Ryan Cragun, University of Tampa.

Religion/Spirituality Are Not Necessary for Enchantment.

I propose flipping our thinking to recognize that religion is a bundle of phenomena that works well for humans but has never been necessary. Human interactions with nature illustrate how enchantment is natural and religion is artificial.
