The ESRIG Institute is excited to welcome a new member. As of March 1, Prof. dr. ir. D. (David) Lentink joined our institute as an Associate Professor within the Ocean Ecosystems research group.
Prof. Lentink was recently in the news with his latest eLife paper "How oscillating aerodynamic forces explain the timbre of the hummingbird’s hum and other animals in flapping flight".
Within the ESRIG institute Prof. Lentink will continue his research in biomimetics. Especially on how animals fly in order to apply that knowledge in technology. Lentink's new research lab will be situated at Zernike Campus.
