Titel: Modeling Water Networks with Switched DAEs and Exploring Decision-Making Approaches
Abstract:
This talk explores two distinct topics in applied mathematics. The first part focuses on the modeling of water networks using switched nonlinear differential-algebraic equations (DAEs). This SWDAE framework effectively capture various physical phenomena involving sudden transients and structural changes, providing a simplified alternative to traditional partial differential equation (PDE) models for water networks.
The second part give a very short introduction to decision-making methodologies, focusing on Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) to address conflicting criteria in complex scenarios. Incorporating fuzzy sets enables effective handling of uncertainty, while aggregation operators, such as Schweizer-Sklar and weighted means, facilitate the comprehensive evaluation and ranking of alternatives. This approach enhances decision-making efficiency and provides a framework to various real-world problems.
