On 7 November 2019 PhD researcher Marina Fortuna gave a presentation titled 'Interpretation of Customary International Law - Spotting the Elephant in the Room', at the Broodje Onderzoek/Research Sandwich event of the Groningen Faculty of Law.

On October 21, 2019 the Blog of the Groningen Journal of International Law published a post written by Principal Investigator of the TRICI-Law project, Panos Merkouris, which presents a description of the TRICI-Law project and introduces the project team.

On Thursday 16 May, the Transboundary Legal Studies Department, together with the Nexus Student Association, organized a successful career day for students featuring speakers ranging from the International Criminal Court to the Iran-US Claims Tribunal. Additional support was provided by Prof. Panos Merkouris, Principle Investigator of the TRICI-Law project, and the Faculty of Law’s International Office.
