Activities

The NIG participates in numerous teaching activities, both inside and outside the University of Groningen. Within the University, the NIG is responsible for the notarial law Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes and parts of the English-taught International and European law Bachelor’s programme, of the Honours College programme and of several specializations within the Dutch Law programme. Together with Radboud University’s Centre for Notarial Law, the NIG jointly provides a Top Master Notarial Law programme for excellent notarial students at both faculties.

In addition, the NIG offers post-academic education, and provides practice‑oriented training for the Foundation for Professional Education for Notaries, Grotius Academy, the Royal Dutch Notarial Society, the Association of Family Law Lawyers and Divorce Mediators, Van der BurgtTraining and Hoog Management and Training.
