CSNN
With the growing digitalization in our society, the number of cyberattacks is also increasing. Cybersecurity is therefore becoming an important part of the digital ecosystem. There is an urgent need for knowledge in the field of cybersecurity. The Ministry of Economic Affairs has explicitly appointed the Province of Groningen as a leader in the field of digital economy and security.
In order to be able to deal with challenges around cybersecurity, it is necessary to work together. By doing more research together, new knowledge is created. New knowledge leads to new products and services that can be used by companies and offer start-ups the opportunity to start doing business.
The project CSNN (Cybersecurity Northern Netherlands) focuses on legal and technical research. The aim of the project is to:
-
Accelerate research and knowledge development in the field of Cybersecurity and make it visible,
-
Increase the resilience of (SME) companies through improved knowledge and expertise sharing,
-
Have test facilities for developing technologies and services,
-
Tain cybersecurity professionals, both within mainstream education and through education for professionals, and
-
Ensure growth of the program during implementation and continuity after the subsidy phase.
In cooperation with the Marian van Os Centre of Expertise Entrepreneurship, VentureLab, workshop Het Kasteel, Digital Society Hub, and the Groningen Digital Business Center, results are shared. The IT Academy will also play a role in offering knowledge to SMEs. In addition, a Smart Instruments Roadshow will be organized for stakeholders in the Northern Netherlands to disseminate the results.
