RUN Study

This research project RUN (Reflexive Regulation using Narrative Methods) focuses on the stories of people who use public services. The research project is led by researchers from three universities: Erasmus University Rotterdam, University of Groningen and Radboud University Nijmegen. In this research we focus on three different target groups: people with dementia and their loved ones (Rotterdam), people with limited education who are looking for work for a long time (Groningen) and children with social and mental problems and their parents (Nijmegen).

In this project we examine how supervisors can respond to the diversity of services people face. We do this by focusing on their stories and discussing with the organizations involved how services can be improved. The end goal of the project is to organize a new form of supervision that, taking into account complex practice, meets the needs of specific groups of people who find themselves in a vulnerable position. In the research project, we are working closely with civil society partners, including in the areas of supervision, care and support services, and advocacy.
