The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are a set of 17 goals introduced as a universal call to action to help bring an end to global poverty, as well as protect human rights and the environment. Since their introduction in 2015, many countries and organizations have taken these SDGs into account when introducing new initiatives, policy, and projects. You can see these goals in the graphic below.

As there is a clear focus on environment, energy, climate, and sustainability within the SDGs, Prof. Edwin Woerdman believes it is important that the courses taught within our Energy and Climate Law LLM support and are relatable to the various, applicable goals within the list. According to Woerdman, "They all breathe sustainability!"

In the table below, you can see a list of courses taught in the LLM programme, and which SDGs Woerdman believes they support. By clicking on the course name, you can read further the full description of the course content covered.

If you have further questions about the connection between courses and SDGs, please contact Prof. Edwin Woerdman.
