Faculty again Top Ranked for Energy Law
Date: | 27 May 2024 |
For the eighth year in a row, our Energy and Climate Law LLM programme has been ranked Top 10 worldwide for Energy Law. LLM-Guide is the premier database for Master of Laws (LLM) programmes around the world, and their Top 10 lists focus on different factors such as offered concentrations, existing rankings, international balance, location, and research capacity. The website first gained notice of the programme in a 2017 interview with Dr. Chris Brennan about LLM programmes in the Netherlands.
Regarding the ranking, Prof. Edwin Woerdman, Academic Director of the programme, stated, "We are truly proud that the international community values the quality of our LLM in Energy and Climate Law! I believe we have come this far for three reasons. First, our highly specialized education programme is taught by top researchers in the field. Second, we organize interesting guest lectures and engaging excursions to industries and regulators. Third, we treat our students as if they are our colleagues: this unique personal approach you will only find in Groningen!"
Prospective LLM students that would like to know more about the Energy and Climate Law LLM programme are welcome to join our Masters Week presentations for the programme held throughout the year, or join our free online webclass. A recording of our most recent (online) masters week presentation for the LLM can also be found here.
