Are you interested in practicing your networking skills as a future lawyer? Meeting students from other law programmes? Willing to help first-year students navigate their first social situations in Groningen? And at the same time learn more about other legal cultures? Become a buddy for our first-year students!

We match two “big-buddies” a.k.a. higher-year students with four first-year students in a buddy group, formed along hobbies and common interests. The groups will be a mix from all the programmes of our Faculty.

Every year around 900 students start their studies at our Faculty at bachelor level, both from the Netherlands and from all around the world.
The Buddy Network Law is all about bridging connections between first-year and higher-year students as well as national and international students. Becoming a buddy is an opportunity for you as a UG law student to gain valuable experience, all while doing the crucial task of supporting our new first-year students to settle into their life and studies in Groningen.
