The lecture will be followed by a panel and audience discussion. The panel members are: Prof. Aurelia Colombi Ciacchi (Law Faculty), Prof. Caroline Fournet (Law Faculty), Prof. Erin Wilson (Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies), Prof. Andrej Zwitter (Faculty of Arts).
Short CV of the guest speaker:
Before joining the Special Tribunal for Lebanon as Chef de Cabinet, Dr. Guido Acquaviva worked as Legal Officer at the ICTY. His education includes an LLM from Tulane Law School (USA, Fulbright scholar). In addition to co-chairing the Editorial Committee of the Journal of International Criminal Justice, Dr. Acquaviva has published widely on matters related to international criminal law as well as public international law in general, such as subjects of international law, state succession, and the law of the sea. Most recently, he co-edited a casebook on international criminal law (International Criminal Law: Cases & Commentary, 2011) and has contributed in several books on international criminal procedure.
