Short Biography Prof.Dr. Tibor Tajti
Tibor Tajti is Professor of Comparative Private & Business Law at Central European University (CEU) – Budapest, Hungary, Department of Law. He earned his LL.M. (1995) and S.J.D. (2001) at CEU including research at New York University School of Law (1999). He was a post-graduate fellow of Asser Institute, the Hague (1997). He was a co-editor of the books Investing in South-Eastern Europe (2005) – awarded by the Dr. Elemer Hantos prize for promoting economic cooperation in the Stability Pact countries – and the two volumes of the Case Law of Central and Eastern Europe (2007 and 2009).Recent publications include Unfair Suretyships in Hungary, in: A.C. Ciacchi & S. Weatherill, Regulating Unfair Banking Practices in Europe (Oxford, 2010), 2008); Security Rights in Central and Eastern Europe in the First Decade of the New Millennium: Where Do We Go from Here? In: M. Bussani & F. Werro, European Private Law: A Handbook (Stämpfli, Carolina Academic Press et al, 2009); and Comparative Secured Transactions Law (Akademiai kiado, Budapest, 2002).
