STeP Talks: Current developments in Article 82 GDPR

This June, STeP Talk is bringing a second talk in an exciting event entitled: “Current developments in Article 82 GDPR”.
At this talk, we are happy to welcome Stephan Mulders (lawyer at Van Diepen Van der Kroef and external PhD at Maastricht University) and Sophia Salziger (PhD candidate at the University of Groningen). During this event our speakers will reflect on the latest developments on non-material damages and their compensation under Article 82 GDPR. This discussion will include a new framework for determining personality damages for GDPR infringements, using a risk-based and fundamental rights approach, and will cover insights into collective claims for non-material damages in the Netherlands.
