Whether you are a scientist yourself or not: keep the last weekend of September free in your calendar. That is when the European Researchers' Night (for adults) and Zpannend Zernike (for children) will take place.
On Friday 29 September 2023, European Researchers' Night will be organized across Europe to celebrate and question science. Our four Schools for Science & Society, Science LinX, YAG and Studium Generale are organizing the event in Groningen. Between 7.30 p.m. and 00.oo a.m., the Forum will be transformed into a science festival with experiments, music, mini-lectures, and science shows.
On Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October 2023, Zpannend Zernike will take place, the annual science festival for children of elementary school age and their parents/guardians. Both days you can explore the world of science between noon and 5 p.m. at various locations. On 30 September, the festivities will take place downtown; on 1 October they will take place at the Zernike Campus.
