Dimitry Kochenov: 'Citizenship by wealth is just as valid'
11 February 2014
Prof. Dimitry Kochenov (EU Constitutional Law) wrote a special opinion piece on selling citizenship in the Tuesday issue of the Times of Malta - the main Maltese newspaper. The opinion makes a simple point that investment citizenship is fully legal. Moreover, there are no rational ethical objections against selling nationality.
Prof. Kochenov is currently preparing an edited volume on EU citizenship and federalism for Cambridge University Press (to be out next year), where the issue of citizenship for sale will also be discussed.Last modified: | 20 February 2025 1.26 p.m. |
