Symposium + Launch Centre for Religion, Health and Wellbeing
When: | Fr 30-11-2018 11:00 - 17:00 |
Where: | Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, Oude Boteringestraat 38, Groningen |
On November 30, the official launch of the Centre for Religion, Health and Wellbeing will take place. This centre bundles research on meaning and health, wellbeing, and death; and a variety of disciplinary approaches such as psychology, sociology, anthropology and philosophy. The centre is part of the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health at the University of Groningen.
To introduce its research, the centre will host a symposium titled ‘the Meaning of Wellbeing.’ With the audience, researchers and professionals will discuss the impact of earthquakes, sexual wellbeing and death. What sort of counselling do people living in an earthquake area need? How do religious organizations aim to contribute to sexual wellbeing? How do people deal with loss?
The symposium is open to all those who are interested to learn more about our research. If you would like to attend the program as a whole (including lunch) please register via receptie.ggw rug.nl before 26 November.
