Christianity: History, Sources and Praxis

Today, Christianity is the largest world religion. It is also very diverse, consisting of at least 21.000 different denominations – and counting. This course explores Christianity’s development from the days of Saint Paul to the present day and focuses on conversion. Why and how did people convert to Christianity? What did conversion mean? How did the conversion of so many people, spread over two millennia, coming from widely different cultural contexts, impact Christianity, in fact resulting in many different ‘Christianities’?
