Change Dialogue #1 of 2024 focuses on purpose and participation
The first round of Change Dialogues are over and were a great success. Time for a follow-up. This year’s Change Dialogue #1 has already been scheduled and will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 8 February.
‘Purpose’ is the new buzzword for businesses that have become aware that just doing your thing and being profitable as an organization is no longer considered enough, since customers value the way organizations contribute to a better world more than ever before. And so do employees. An organization with a purpose is attractive to new talent and will generate loyalty to the business. The same is true, according to proponents of the concept, for other organizations, for example, local governments.
From buzzword to practice
Feeling good is the way to go. But how do you translate your organizations’ purpose into practice? How do you involve your employees and citizens and how do you make sure it really becomes anchored in the culture and becomes a part of you?
This is what a panel, led by Egbert Dommerholt, Lector of Biobased Business Valorization at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, will discuss with the audience during the Change Dialogue on Thursday 8 February.
Line-up
Jacqueline Rietveld, lector of OndernemenNu (Future-proof Entrepreneurship) at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, Sebastiaan van der Haar, project leader for Circulair Bouwen (Circular Construction) at the Municipality of Groningen, Liesbeth van de Wetering, Programme Manager of Kwaliteit Openbaar Bestuur (Public Administration Quality) at the Province of Groningen, Marc Pauly, assistant professor of Philosophy and Head of the Philosophy Knowledge Centre at the University of Groningen, and Nanko Brattinga of consultant agency BBENG.
