Support staff and students
Do you have any questions or are you experiencing problems with your work or studies due to the disaster in Turkey and Syria? As a staff member, you can contact your manager and as a student, you can contact your study advisor.
For staff members whose work has been affected by such events, an open office hour is held by both the occupational physician and the staff welfare section. You may attend regardless of whether or not you have reported sick. You can make an appointment by phone on +31 (0)50 363 5534 or by email at amd@rug.nl. It is also possible to talk to one of our staff welfare officers online. You can make an appointment for this yourself online via mentalhealthsupport.youcanbook.me. Please find more information about support for staff members on My University.
Are you a PhD student? Then also have a look at the web page on PhD support.
Students
There are also various support options for students, including (online) psychological help. For example, you can make an appointment with a student psychologist or use online self-help modules. In addition, you can contact one of the student counselors for (financial) regulations and resources. Together with you, they will look at how they can best help.
Open Office Hour students
For students who are affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, an open office hour is held by the Student Service Centre. A psychologist and student counsellor will be in attendance. You do not need to register or schedule an appointment.
