An evening with ChatGPT
What can ChatGPT do? How does it work? How will it impact teaching? How will it impact society? What are the next steps? These and other questions were addressed during An Evening with ChatGPT on Wednesday 18 January 2023, organised by the Computational Linguistics group of the Faculty of Arts.
Not all these questions have definitive answers, but there was clearly a lot interest in discussing them: the evening was attended by more than 150 people.
The program was as follows:
-
Introduction (presented by Malvina Nissim)
-
What can it (not) do (presented by Rik van Noord)
-
How does it work (presented by Gabriele Sarti)
-
Ethical Issues (presented by Arianna Bisazza)
-
Impact on Education and Society (presented by Tommaso Caselli)
This was followed by an informal Q&A session, in which attendees could directly ask questions to the experts of the GroNLP group.
If you missed it, don't worry, since the recording is available on Youtube (also see below). Moreover, the slides are also publicly available.
