How to successfully use your experience abroad on the job market

Did you spend time abroad on a placement or as part of your degree programme in your first semester? Great! This means that you’ve taken the first step towards raising your profile on the job market. Learn how to use your experience abroad to help your career by taking the ‘Crossing Borders 3: Re-entry’ independent study module.

The job market has become increasingly internationally oriented and intercultural skills are now a must. Your experience abroad gives you a clear advantage. So, you need to learn how to use your experience to convince potential employers.

This course looks back at the time you spent abroad and shows you how to incorporate your experience into your day-to-day life. You will learn how to showcase your experience on your CV and practise talking about it at a job interview to improve your future employability. After the course, you will have turned your experience abroad into a life skill and you will know how to make yourself stand out on the job market!
