Groningen Science Quiz
Why do we actually blush? Where did the meteor that eradicated the dinosaurs hit? And how was the Martinitoren built? On 31 May, Studium Generale Groningen, the Ben Feringa Fund and Forum Groningen are organizing the first ever edition of the Groningen Science Quiz (Dutch spoken), presented by science communicator Anna Gimbrère under the supervisory eye of jury members Nobel Prizewinner Ben Feringa and rector magnificus Cisca Wijmenga.
Pull up a chair to the tricky quiz full of striking questions and brain teasers from a variety of academic fields. Three pairs of academics from the University of Groningen will compete in the studio, and you can join in from home. Physics, languages, geography and history – alongside logical reasoning and probability – will also test your historical awareness and flair for languages.
- Admission is free. The quiz will take place online from 8 to 10 p.m. You can reserve a place via the Studium Generale website.
