UG in 79th place on the THE ranking list
The University of Groningen is in 79th place on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE) this year. This is up four places from last year, when the UG was in 83rd place. Seven other Dutch universities are also currently in the top 100. The results were published on Wednesday 26 September. In 2015 the UG achieved its highest-ever position on the THE with 74th place.
In August it was announced that the UG had dropped to 72nd place in the Shanghai Ranking (ARWU). The UG currently ranks 120th on the QS ranking list. More information
