Ben Feringa about importance of science during World Economic in Davos (livestreamed!)
On 24 January 2018 Professor Ben Feringa will speech during the European Research Council (ERC) programme at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This meeting will take place in Davos, Switzerland. Nobel Prize winner Ben Feringa will highlight the importance of science for the population. His openingssession will be livestreamed at 11.30 a.m. on the website of the World Economic Forum .
Investment into science
In his video message Ben Feringa calls for more investment into science. During an one-to-one interview session he will give insights and ideas about the special combination of chemistry and its meaning for the future of our population. The WEF will broadcast this interview live for half an hour.
Global issues
The ERC takes part in the forum for the sixth time. The World Economic Forum is an international platform for the discussion of global issues. Feringa is one of the two Nobel Prize winners who contributes with his insights into the importance of science in Europe.

Professor Ben Feringa has won the 2016 Nobel Prize in Chermistry for his work on the development of molecular machines. Ben Feringa has been a professor of Organic Chemistry since 1998 at the University of Groningen. His research performance are exceptional that he is generally regarded as one of the world’s most creative and productive chemists. He has achieved many breakthroughs in various fields of chemistry.
