DNA event in Groningen to open University's 400th jubilee
On Wednesday 9th April, schoolchildren portrayed DNA in action on the Vismarkt in Groningen. This was also the opening event for an exhibition of 400 years of science at the university. The children wore different colour T-shirts to represent the DNA letters A,C,G,T and were guided to show DNA dividing and combining by staff from the department and Evelien Bosch, a presenter from ZappLive.

The exhibition is being held in the Aa church at one end of the Vismarkt and is open to the public. It has many educational displays for children too.
Open 10 April to 27 Juni 2014, from Tuesday to Sunday 10.00 am - 5.00 pm.
Three 'For Infinity' exhibitions
For Infinity comprises 3 exhibitions: 400 years of science in the Aa church, 400 years of student life in the Groninger Museum and 4 centuries of artwork in the University Museum. They are independent exhibitions, but together they tell the bigger story of academic life in Groningen. There's something for everyone!
