New Unifocus: Antipsychotics, Collaboration with NIDI, and A new way of teaching culture
The new Unifocus, the video magazine of the University of Groningen, is online.
This week:
- Putting on weight because of antipsychotics. Using antipsychotics for extended periods of time often leads to weight gain. Do the pros outweigh the cons? This was one of the questions the University of Groningen received as part of the ‘400 Days for 400 Questions’ project which is part of the University’s 400th anniversary celebrations.
- Close collaboration with leading demographic institute NIDI. Thanks to structural financial support of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and the University of Groningen, top-quality interdisciplinary research into population issues will continue in the Netherlands. The NIDI is an institute that conducts research on demographic issues.
-
A new way of teaching culture. Prof. Barend van Heusden developed a theoretical framework for cultural education at schools as part of Cultuur in de Spiegel.
Each episode of the biweekly online video magazine Unifocus includes three items related to the University of Groningen, in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
