2nd Sport Science debate on 2014 Winter Olympics
On Wednesday 6 November, the Sport Science Institute Groningen (SSIG) is organizing a 2nd Sport Science Debate on the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014. Renowned scientists and sports experts Frans Bakker, Prof. Gerard Sierksma and KNSB director Arie Koops will be giving presentations and discussing the selection procedures for skating and technology doping in bobsledding. Rector Magnificus Elmer Sterken will be explaining how he predicts the medal chances for the Dutch Olympic team. All in all, an interesting programme on the ins and outs of the greatest sports event in the world.
The debate will start at 4 p.m. in the Academy Building of the University of Groningen. Participation is free; register by sending an e-mail to i.k.stoter umcg.nl.
